The Kirkland Lake Aquatic Club is seeking an enthusiastic individual to fill the opening of Part-Time Head Coach beginning in the 2017-2018 season. KLAC Stingrays trains out of the Kirkland Lake Community Complex from September to June(July). Construction of a modern multi-faceted aquatic facility is well under way with a completion date planned for December 2017. Kirkland Lake is a small mining town in Northeastern Ontario with a population of approximately 8,000. There are endless recreational activities and entertainment to enjoy year round, community college, excellent schools and affordable housing. Qualifications:• NCCP Level 1 or higher preferred (or willingness to attain)• Current NLS and Standard First Aid/CPR (or willingness to attain)• Knowledge of Hy-Tek an asset The ideal candidate will possess:• Competitive swimming and coaching experience preferred • Comfortable coaching all age groups, skill level and swimmers with varying goals • Ability to provide instruction in technique, sportsmanship, and encourage healthy habits for athlete development Interested applicants should submit a cover letter and resume electronically to the Board of Directors at KLACexecutive@gmail.com.
