Parkland Pirates Aquatic Club is committed to providing a nurturing team environment that facilitates the pursuit of excellence in the sport of competitive swimming. Part-time Coaching Position. The Parkland Pirates Aquatic Club of Spruce Grove, Alberta is seeking a part-time swim coach for our Novice Program. We are looking for a highly motivated, enthusiastic coach with a proven track record of teaching, training and developing swimmers for 2-4 hours per week. Responsibilities: - Plan and implement practices for assigned group. - Implement a goal setting program that will motivate swimmers - Monitor performance and provide feedback to swimmers - Attend swim meets as directed by Head Coach - Attend all coaches meeting and Club events. - Prepare and submit meet entries - Complete various administrative duties as requested - Implement and handout progress reports to swimmers Qualifications: - Fundamentals Coach certified - Proficient in Hy-Tek software - Current First Aid, CPR and NLS preferred - Excellent technical knowledge in all aspects of competitive swimming - Some coaching experience will be an asset - Ability to meet each swimmers individual needs - Strong administrative skills - Can work well with other coaches, swimmers and parents Position Status – Part Time Hours of Work: 2-4 hours per week (hours and days of work may vary) Rate of Pay: Competitive Rate depending on experience.
