Job Description:

Winskill Dolphins Swim Club is seeking an enthusiastic and experienced Assistant Coach, who is eager to contribute to the development of our Regional program (9-11 year old swimmers) under the supervision of our Regional coach, as well as undertake escalating responsibility in a highly competitive club.  WDSC is a rapidly growing organization that believes foundational skills and well-rounded athleticism are the keys to future success and a healthy life-style.

The right candidate will have a minimum of the listed qualifications below.  Interest in coaching as a career and experience with a wide-range of swimmers, specifically at the BC ‘AA’ level and above, is essential.

Level of athletes: age group level, 8-11 years old

Competition: 1 per month

Hours: 8-10 hours per week, evenings and weekends.

Compensation: based on experience and qualifications.

Availability: October 1, 2012

Qualifications: minimum 4 years’ coaching in a competitive program, minimum Level 1/Swimming 101/Fundamentals certified; consider previous training up to Level 1 NCCP, WSI, NLS.  Preference will be given to candidates with higher NCCP designations (Swimming 201).
