Please read important Registration Information Our swim season is divided into three (Fall, Winter, Spring) 10 week sessions. Our Fall Session starts the week of Sept 17, Winter Session (9 weeks) starts the week of Jan 7 (no lessons during March Break), and Spring session starts the week of April 7. All classes are cancelled on statutory holidays and are made up at the end of the session. *** All classes are at Centennial Pool, unless another pool is indicated ***
This program is for swimmers who are very comfortable in the water, willing to put their face in the water, float with assistance, etc. We offer this program to take them from comfortable play to floating unassisted, kicking and streamlining. Swimmers are recommended to be 4 yrs of age or older to enter this program. (Equivalent to AQ 2-3) Cost: $82 This level is for swimmers who are able to do floating and kicking on their front, back and side and can do some form of arm movement. At this level we take the swimmers to a recognizable freestyle with breathing as well as backstroke. (Equivalent to AQ 3-4) Cost: $77 Mon 4:00-4:30 FULL This program is designed for swimmers 6 & 7 yrs old who have been promoted from our Mini-Marlin program. They must be able to front crawl, back stroke and steamline. focus will be on building endurance and improving overall technique. Cost: $143 Mon & Wed 4:30-5:00 Swimmers in this level bring their freestyle and backstroke to an advanced standard. We learn turns, starts, fly and breaststroke. Introduction to competition and scientific methods of monitoring progress. (Equivalent to AQ 5-7) Cost: $143 Junior Marlin 1 Swimmers advanced into this level continue to perfect free and back while building their strokes and skills for Fly and Breaststroke as well as IM turns and training concepts. They build fitness and finesse. (This level does not equate well to other programs as our swimmers have concepts of training and competitive swimming that other programs are missing, but AQ 8-12 can usually transition to the program without too much stress). Competitions will be available for these swimmers. Cost: $182 Marlin 1 This program offers the convenience of having all of your children swim at the same time. Every effort will be made to keep swimmers that are working on a similar skill level together. This program is available for swimmers in L'll Marlin, Mini-Marlin, Jr. Marlin and our Marlin program. Please note that Marlin swimmers will oly swim 1X per week for 1 hr rather than the 2x's per week. Jr Marlin swimmers will swim for 1 hr and L'll Marlins and Mini-Marlins will swim for 1/2 hr. We will make every attempt to ensure that groups are based on swimmers working on the same level but this cannot be guaranteed. Cost: L’ll Marlin - $82; Mini-Marlin - $77; Jr. Marlin & Marlin - $143 L’ll Marlin: Tues 5:00-5:30 at the University of Guelph pool FULL Private Lessons Swimmers will focus on freestyle swim technique and training fore triathlon length swims. Swimmers will learn how to change their swim for open water or pool swimming while increasing strength and endurance. Dryland training is part of this program so shoes, shorts and t-shirt must be brought to each practice. Swimmers will learn to use tows and carriers as well as obstacle swims and other competition events. Training for fitness and fun while learning the fun sport of Lifesaving. GMAC wa 3rd this year and 1st last year at the Jr Provincial championships and has many National team members on our staff. |
