CONGRATULATIONS

· to first time Regional qualifier ANDREA LEE<= /span>

· to COACH MIDGLEY and the entire UWO Mustangs squad for the= ir best-ever finishes at the CIS Championships in Toronto. The women pla= ced 4th overall and the men 6th, for a combined 5th place ranking. = BRYN JONES<= /span> won silver medals in the 100 and 200BR events, JULIEN SAUV= AGE won silver in the 1500FR, BRITTANY CO= OPER and HAYLEY NELL also won individual silver in the 400FR and 50FR respectively, while the Mustangs womens 4x100FR relay finished second, = with team members ASHLEIGH DUNNINGTON, AMBER HUTCHINSON, ALEX COOPER, and HAYLEY NELL.

FT. LAUDERDALE TRAINING CAMP

March break 2010

I still am looking for passport information from a few swimmers attending this camp. I need to have t= he swimmer's name as it appears in their passport along with their citizenship, where the passport was issued, date of birth and passport number to provide= to the bus company for the manifest that they must forward to border officials= prior to the trip. Also, if you did not attend the date that we provided the notary public to witness the consent to travel that all minors must have to cr= oss the border when travelling without a parent, you must ensure that you have = this form notarized for your swimmer prior to the trip. NEWMARKET MEET

February 26-28, 2010<= /span>

The team will meet at the CGAC at 4:30pm this Friday after their workout to bus to Newma= rket. If you have not yet paid the $240 estimated cost for this trip, please do so prior to leaving on the trip. Please ensure your swimmer has money to purchase dinner enroute on Friday night along w= ith snacks and drinks for the bus trip. If any of your swimmer's medical information has changed since filling out the health forms at the beginning= of the season please let me know immediately. WOSOA CLINIC DAY MARCH 06th, 201= 0

Hello everyone:

Hope you are all enjoying the br= isk weather. It is time to mark your calendars for the Western Ontario Swim Officials Association Spring Clinic Day.

Once again, it will be held at t= he St Thomas Campus of Fanshawe College. Many thanks to Fanshawe for the u= se of their facility.

Attached is the flyer with the information about this clinic day.

Although there is absolutely no = need to register for any of the sessions it would help Dave and me if you could = tell us what clinics you would like to take. That way, we can make sure that the clinic is not over-crowded. We might, for instance, decide to give a stroke= and turn clinic in both morning and afternoon sessions if the demand is high enough.

SPECIAL OLYMPICS

The Special Olympi= cs 2010 National Summer Games is coming to London July 13-17, 2010. Over= 200 competitors from across the country will be competing over 5 days at the Lo= ndon Aquatic Centre for medals and eligibility into the next international games.

As you know from y= our own experiences, swimming competitions rely on a large number of volunteers= to create an enjoyable and professional event. Volunteers will be needed= in all areas including site hospitality, security, timers, team assistants, marshalling, and other areas.

To produce the hig= hest quality event, I am looking to recruit volunteers who are experienced in competition swimming to assist athletes, coaches, and officials.

Volunteers must be= at least 16yrs of age and complete a London Police Service background check. There is no fee<= /b> attached to the background check. &n= bsp; I will take care of getting it to the LPS for completion.

General volunteer registration begins March 2010 but competition specific volunteers, such as yourselves, may register on-line as early as January 2010.   If y= ou or someone you know is interested in volunteering for another event, please refer to the below website for other opportunities.

LAC & LSD TO HOST 2010 MASTE= RS SWIM CHAMPIONSHIPS

The 2010 Provincial Masters Swim= ming Championships will be held at CGAC March 19th through 21st. This event will= be a major fundraiser for LAC. London Silver Dolphins will be co-ordinating the meet and LAC will be providing the tec= hnical expertise, equipment, and officials. In order to make this a successful Provincial Championship we are seeking volunteers to assist on deck with electronics and equipment set-up, along with minor officials for timing, and strokes & turns. LAC families will earn session credits for volunteering.

More details will follow in late February, in the meantime please take note of these dates. Your suppo= rt would be greatly appreciated.<= /o:p>

I am excited to announce that we will once again be offering a= LAC swim day camp to all LAC swimmers 12 yrs. & Under. Swimmers will be participating in a variety of activities including: daily = swim practices, day trips, games, crafts etc… Camp will be held from Monday to Thursday during the week of July 5 to 8 2010 ( Friday is Dr. Paul Hauch= Swim Meet) at a cost of $125.00 per swimmer.
