John is back for a 3rd season with NYAC coaching the newly created Senior group. John has enjoyed coaching a wide range of talents and ages within NYAC from the Waves level all the way up to the Provincial level now. John Grew up in Thompson , Manitoba but didn’t start competitive swimming until he moved to Hawkesbury , Ontario at the age of 10. He competed and eventually assistant coached at Hawkesbury Orca Swim Team for 10 years. John believes that swimming should be treated as a lifelong pursuit that has benefits as far ranging as fitness, happiness and a sense of self worth. John has enjoyed assisting Murray Drudge, John Calnan and Sabrina Ng the past season and plans to use this experience to benefit his swimmers.
