The 2005 NYAC Youth Cup\Mega city was a huge success this year due to our meet management committee and the tremendous support of our parent volunteers. Peter Cooling again made the meet run smooth with Eric Moran doing a phenomenal job with the entries. Your time and effort after so many years is a great asset to NYAC and we thank you so very much for still choosing to help us. Cheryl Kicksee and Marjie Chud worked so hard behind the scenes and deserve special thanks for the many hours they put in to assist in the meet management. Yvonne Moy who lost her voice was tireless in getting the officials organized and ready. Those hours on the phone to all our members are one of the most thankless jobs there is. Chefs Lui and Beatrix spent endless hours moving equipment and organizing the food preparation for our cafeteria. You both deserve special thanks for efforts above and beyond the call of duty. Mike and Dianne Pierce gave a wonderful performance as our announcers and even went into the stands asking for the correct pronunciation of names they were unsure of.

All weekend I was so impressed with the efforts and cooperation of all our parents and I wish I could name all of you. We even had one parent "Mrs. Charles" asking for stopwatches before the meet so that she and some other parents from the Age One program could practice.

The excitement demonstrated by all our swimmers and the enthusiasm with which they swam their races was outstanding. Checking time standards after each race and sometimes not even aware of how well they really did is a true indication of great coaching. Never before have we had so much mutual respect and cooperation within our staff. Diego and Mischa deserve a lot of credit for setting a great example and leading the troops into battle. The swimming was just plain exciting and fun to watch. Jenny, Heather and John have transformed their groups into well trained and disciplined swimmers and coach like real veterans in their first year of coaching. - Wow !!

Again thank you all on behalf of Olga and myself - our jobs are easier to do because of you.
