I'd like to begin this month's letter with a huge thank you to banquet organizers Hung Fui and Beatrix Lui and the committee including Emsie Williams, Kathleen Gallagher, and Ayze Ozguven for what I hear was a fantastic event. Again, I am sorry to have had to miss it! Thanks also to photographer William Williams, videographer Hilary Turnock and yearbook creators Vivian Hu, Paula Ruivo, and Daniela Crivianu- Gaita. Finally, a special thank you to Pepsi-QTG for sponsoring the award packages for our Canadian record holder boy's 15-17 year old 4x100m Freestyle relay team (Nick Karpov, Marius Hattingh, Kungsoo Yoon, and Andy Townsend) who shared this year's Gatorade Swimmer of the Year award.

The MacMillan's orders have been distributed and from what I understand, organizer Cheryl Kicksee has some of your items in her freezer! Thanks Cheryl for coordinating the sale and delivery of the items. Please contact her if you are short a bucket of cookie dough or two!

Cheryl is also the NYAC meet manager along with Peter Cooling for the Youth Cup and Mega City Meets which are fast approaching. The rest of the team includes Steve Lim and Olga Macel who are busy with swim entries and Natalie Lychy and Andrea Hamilton and their committee members who are gathering donations and coordinating all the food for the volunteers. As this is the 25th Anniversary for the Youth Cup, we are celebrating with a special dinner and spirits reception after Saturday night Finals for officials and coaches who work that night. It is my understanding that we still have officiating spots to fill for this session so this may be a good one to choose! Yvonne Moy, the tireless NYAC Official's Chairperson, has also advised me that we are short officials for Saturday and Sunday morning Youth Cup sessions. Please consider volunteering for extra sessions especially if you are going to be in attendance anyway. Thanks to the Dobrescus who have created the new on-line sign-up system it is now easier then ever to volunteer.

Our holiday Red, Black and White fun meet will be on Saturday, December 15. The whole club is invited to come out for fun relays followed by breakfast.

Finally, the Christmas training camp schedules will be out shortly. As the schedules differ for each group, your pool reps/coaches will be advising you of the details.
