CSCA Code of Professional Conduct - August 18, 2023

This Code has been prepared by the CSCA as a professional and ethical guide for Canadian swim coaches and swimming teachers who are members of CSCA.

The conduct and ethical behaviour of a professional is determined by the degree of respect with which a professional interacts and communicates with swimmers, their families, peers and the public.  Coaches and teachers have a responsibility to encourage autonomy and personal growth and to ensure that athletes train and perform in suitable and safe settings. 


CSCA Screening Policy   - August 18, 2023

Screening of CSCA members and CSCA member applicants is an important part of providing a safe sporting environment and has become a common practice among sport organizations that provide programs and services to the community. CSCA is responsible to do everything reasonable to provide a safe and secure environment for participants in its programs, activities and events. The CSCA takes this very seriously, and is committed to, fulfilling the duty of care it owes to its members.

CSCA Discipline & Complaints Policy - August 18, 2023

Membership in CSCA brings with it many benefits and privileges. At the same time, Members are expected to fulfill certain responsibilities and obligations including, but not limited to, complying with the CSCA Constitution and Bylaws, Code of Professional Conduct, policies, procedures, rules and regulations.

Irresponsible behaviour by Members can result in severe damage to the integrity of the CSCA and the sport of swimming. Conduct that violates these policies may be subject to sanctions pursuant to this policy.


CSCA Appeal PolicyAugust 18, 2023

The purpose of this Policy is to enable appeals with Members to be dealt with fairly, expeditiously and affordably, within CSCA and without recourse to external legal procedures.


CSCA Dispute Resolution Policy  August 18, 2023

The CSCA supports the principles of negotiation, facilitation and mediation as effective ways to resolve disputes.

The rules and regulations enacted by the CSCA to provide a framework for our operation and management.
