Swim BC is very pleased to announce that Cory Beatt will be joining our team in the position as Technical Director. Cory is coming back to swimming after three years in the business world, is excited to return and to contribute to the successes of Swim BC.
Cory began coaching swimming in Alberta in the early 1980's and since 1992 has been a key contributor to BC swimming. He’s had extensive experience with age group, para, open water, and varsity swimming. His swimmers have broken Provincial and National records and have proudly represented Canada internationally, including the Paralympics, Olympics, and World Championships. Cory has been a National Coaching Certification Program Learning Facilitator, mentored several coaches and has presented at numerous conferences throughout North America.
The Technical Director position is new to Swim BC. It is a senior leadership position within the organization, responsible for the design, development, leadership and success of Swim BC’s swimmer and coach development programs. Cory will work closely with the Executive Director and staff to review, assess and drive the technical direction of Swim BC.
Cory begins in his role August 17th. His people first posture encourages you to reach out, he welcomes your questions and looks forward to supporting Swim BC members
