Russ Franklin, Head Coach at ROW Swim Club/WLU is excited for the future potential to the Club by adding Joe to the coaching line up.
Joe Bartoch is quoted while on deck at the WLU Pool, "entering my coaching career at a club with so much history both in the pool and on deck is a very exciting opportunity. Russ and all of the staff have a great understanding of the sport and I am grateful for the chance to learn from them. I am looking forward to getting to know all of the swimmers. My goal is to help them achieve their goals in and out of the water. I have found that athletes perform at their best when they are inspired by their team mates and I hope to foster an environment where this is the standard." Joe starts his first full week on deck, Monday, coaching the Senior 2 group and assisting with the WLU Varsity Swim Team.
Russ Franklin is optimistic, “having Matt Mains, Kaitlyn Schultz and now Joe on Staff, we are set up for great development of swimming talent in Waterloo!”
