Empowering Women in Coaching Through Mentorship, Community & Collective Growth

Launching in 2026 - Application Deadline January 5, 2026

The CSCA Triple Coach Connection is a new national initiative designed to support, elevate, and retain women in coaching across Canada. Launching in 2026, this program provides meaningful mentorship, shared learning, and professional connection by bringing coaches together in small, supportive groups built for long-term growth.

Fourteen accomplished coaches from across the country have been selected as CSCA Mentors—leaders who bring expertise in athlete development, team leadership, technical knowledge, and career progression. Each mentor will be paired with two additional coaches, creating tight-knit three-coach clusters that encourage open dialogue, collaborative problem-solving, and personalized support.

Our inagural mentors include (in alphabetical order): Alex Pettifer, Anne Ottenbrite-Muylaert, Annie Wolfe, Cathy Pardy, Heather MacFarlane, Jy Lawrence, Kendra Papple, Laura Nichols, Linda Kiefer, Linda Lalone, Marta Belsh, Michelle Wilson, Tina Hoeben and Wendy Johnson.

Participating coaches commit to meeting once per month for one hour, choosing a format that works best for their group—virtual, in-person, structured, or conversational. Each trio decides together how to use their time, whether focusing on technical development, coaching pathways, leadership skills, work–life balance, program building, or navigating the unique challenges and opportunities faced by women in the profession.

The Triple Coach Connection is built around three core pillars:

  1. Mentorship — Personalized guidance from experienced leaders who understand the realities of coaching in Canada.
  2. Connection — A safe, supportive network that fosters belonging and shared experience.???????
  3. Growth — A space to strengthen coaching skills, expand confidence, and build sustainable careers.

This initiative reflects the CSCA’s commitment to supporting women at every stage of the coaching pathway—creating a stronger, more inclusive coaching community for the future of Canadian swimming.
