Canadian Swimming Coaches Association (CSCA) Launches Inaugural Women in Coaching Leadership Cohort Program

 

The Canadian Swimming Coaches Association (CSCA) proudly announces the commencement of its innovative Women in Coaching Leadership Cohort Program. Ten exceptional coaches have been carefully chosen from a competitive pool of applicants, representing diverse regions across Canada.

 

The selected coaches for the inaugural cohort are:

 

1. Naomi Antler (BC)

2. Kristin Buchanan (ON)

3. Haylie Burton (AB)

4. Andrea Creer (NB)

5. Emma Hesterman (AB)

6. Heather Page Fairley (ON)

7. Audrey Rivest (QC)

8. Nadine Rolland (QC)

9. Roberta Roos (BC)

10. Taylor Wright (AB)

 

These coaches will participate in a transformative journey through five learning sessions, featuring expert guidance from renowned professionals such as Amelia Strother, Judy Riege, Laura Watson, Bronwyn Pasloski, and the esteemed members of the CSCA Women in Coaching Committee.

 

Marta Belsh, Chair of the CSCA Women in Coaching Committee, expressed her enthusiasm for the program, stating, "The Women in Coaching Leadership Cohort is an exciting initiative that aims to empower and support female coaches in our swimming community. By fostering a collaborative learning environment, we hope to inspire coaches to reach new heights in their careers."

 

Lance Cansdale, President of the CSCA, also shared his thoughts on the program's significance, "The launch of the Women in Coaching Leadership Cohort reflects the CSCA's continuing commitment to fostering diversity and inclusion within the coaching landscape. We believe that by creating these programs and investing in the professional development of all coaches, we continue to contribute to the overall growth of our profession and our sport."
