OTTAWA (October 25, 2010) – With exactly fifty days left on the countdown clock to the FINA World Short Course (25m) Championships in Dubai, UAE, Swimming Canada is pleased to announced its sixteen member strong team that will race the World’s best in the pool from December 15 to 19th, 2010.
Canada’s team will include seven swimming Olympians including Commonwealth Games silver medallist in the women’s 200m butterfly, Audrey Lacroix of Montreal and former World Record holder in the 200m breaststroke short course event, Annamay Pierse of Edmonton. Pierse, who still holds the world mark in the long course (50m) event, is looking at a strong start of the season after a challenging year.
